Cheri Crenshaw, Ph.D.

I’ve been teaching in the professional and technical writing emphasis in English at Utah Tech University since 2008 and loving every minute of it. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach in the graduate program, Technical Writing & Digital Rhetoric. I tend to focus on grammar and editing classes such as Elements of Grammar, Editing, and Advanced Editing.

I attained my Ph.D. in rhetoric at Texas Woman’s University in May 2008. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Maryland University College/Asian Division in Okinawa, Japan. I attained a Master of Arts in English at Midwestern State University in 2002.

My research interests include the developing rhetoric of new media, first-year university composition instruction, technical communication, and electronic literature.
