About

Florence Elizabeth Bacabac was born in the Philippines and received her B.A. and M.A. in English (Language) from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. In 2008, she earned her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Her dissertation reflects her interest in composition pedagogy and the use of various collaborative invention tools in computer-mediated classrooms. Her articles appeared in Business and Professional Communication Quarterly, Journal of Business and Technical Communication, and Journal of Literacy and Technology, among others. She started the DSU Women’s Resource Center where access to resources, mentoring, and support are given to women across the disciplines for their academic and professional development.
