WHAT WILL YOU FIND IN THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT?
Whatever you hope to get out of college, you’ll find it here in the English Department. Our graduate program offers the most-affordable master’s degree in Utah, and our undergraduate program offers bachelor’s degrees, minors, and certificates in Creative Writing, English Education, Literary Studies, and Professional & Technical Writing. Our programs are designed to let you pick and choose from a variety of courses until you find the right fit for you. You’ll have access to clubs, programs, internships, and other opportunities to help you get to know other students, build up your resume, and prepare for your career. Our students run two different publications—The Southern Quill and Route 7 Review—which provide invaluable real-world experience in writing, editing, designing, and publishing documents. We also have a creative-writing club and our very own chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society. Our graduates have been admitted to excellent graduate and professional programs and have achieved success in writing, editing, publishing, teaching, journalism, public administration, and many other careers.
