Language Creates Change
Through in-depth study of language use, English Majors develop analytical writing skills which are rare and valuable in our increasingly technological society. English Majors at Dixie State University explore their talents through project-based courses and clubs. They contrive meaning from both ancient stories and contemporary speeches, studying language from its very core. They share meaningful discussions with individuals who share their love for reading, writing and analysis. They learn to be critical, to be persuasive, and to turn emotion into action with their thorough understanding of the ways language works in the world.
